On This Date in Sports History…The Dream Team is Announced

The 1992 Olympics were the first year that the USA Men’s Basketball team was allowed to use NBA players to represent them. The Olympics emphasized amateurs playing in the tournament, but of course those Commie fucks, the Russians, used professionals and found a loophole to allow them to play in the Olympics. Well they would really regret doing that shit.

On September 21st 1991, the first ten players of the Dream Team were officially announced. The first NBA players named to an Olympic team were: Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, John Stockton, Karl Malone, Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley, David Robinson, Chris Mullin, Patrick Ewing, and Larry Bird.

This team was fucking loaded! I mean they probably have 3 of the 10 best players to ever live on the same team, and the best part of all of this was that they only cared about winning the Olympics. Nothing else!

This team went on to win every game in that Olympics on their way to an easy Gold Medal. They won each game by an average of about 45 points, and we may never see a team dominate in any sport like we saw this team dominate!
