Unfiltered Week 4 Heisman Rankings

What a week it was in college football! We had the upset of the season so far with Pitt beating UCF in a crazy game. We had maybe the best game of the season period with UCLA pulling the upset off against Mike Leach and Washington St. (Maybe Chip Kelly isn’t dead yet) Finally, we had some HUGE fucking performances from everyone in the Heisman race. Jalen Hurts biggest problem this week was that he did not play. It didn’t hurt him too much but he was dethroned as the #1 guy due to OU being idle.

1-Joe Burrow-100/124 Passing, 1,520 Yards, 17 TDs, 2 Ints, 1 Rushing TD-Have yourself a fucking day Joe Burrow. Burrow went into Vandy and shit all over the Commodores all day long. He threw for almost 400 yards and 6 TDS! He leads the nation in passer efficiency and he catapulted himself to the top of this list with the performance. Now tougher opponents await LSU, but for now, Joe Burrow is the Heisman frontrunner.

2-Tua Tagovailoa-87/112 Passing, 1,300 Yards, 17 TDs, 0 Ints, 1 Rushing TD-Tua had another typical Tua day. 4 incompletions to go along with 5 TD passes. More than a spot in the CFB Playoff may be on the line when Alabama and LSU face off on November 9th. Tua and Joe will be battling for the Heisman while LSU and Bama try to get to the playoff. If Tua keeps having games like this though, he may be tough to beat.

3-Jalen Hurts-49/61 Passing, 880 Yards, 9 TDs, 0 Ints, 373 Rushing Yards, 4 TDs-Jalen and the Sooners did not play this week and that will hurt him in this week’s rankings only. It is hard to keep pace with guys that throw for 300+ and 5+ TDs when you don’t play. If Jalen goes right back to work he will be right there with the 2 guys ahead of him all season long.

4-Justin Fields-66/95 Passing, 880 Yards, 13 TDs, 0 Ints, 150 Rushing Yards, 6 TDs-Justin doesn’t put up the same huge games as guys like Burrow and Tua, but he does just fucking fine. He also contributed 6 TDs this weekend in a blowout win for OSU. His lack of yards may bite him in the ass in this race but he may make up for it with his feet. He has more TDs than every other guy on this list and that pace will probably continue and that is something to keep an eye on over the rest of the season.

5-Sam Ehlinger-102/140 Passing, 1,237 Yards, 15 TDs, 1 Int, 191 Rush Yards, 1 TD-Sam also had a huge week in a big win over OkSt. He fucked around and threw for 4 TDs to go along with 280 yards. He moved up from honorable mentions last week with a huge game this week. He will have some chances to move up on this list too as the season goes on.

Honorable Mentions

Jonathan Taylor-RB-Wisconsin

Chuba Hubbard-RB-Oklahoma St.

Justin Herbert-QB-Oregon

Jacob Eason-QB-Washington

Dillon Gabriel-QB-UCF

We have some new names on this list as both of the Clemson guys have fallen off, for now. Keep in mind these rankings are based on if the Heisman were awarded right now. Not what might happen over the next couple of weeks.
