In the year that College Football is celebrating it’s 150th Anniversary, a few schools are celebrating some milestones of their own. Before last week only 5 schools in College Football history had reached the 900 win plateau. Those schools are of course the blue bloods of College Football: Michigan, Ohio State, Texas, Yale, and Alabama.
Alabama won their 900th game at the end of last year and 3 more teams came into this year with a legitimate shot at winning their 900th game. Well Nebraska got the party started last week with a win over Illinois for the 900th win in program history.
Today we added two more teams to that list. Oklahoma beat the shit out of Texas Tech and Notre Dame shut down Virginia to earn each of their program’s 900th win.

900 wins is absolutely fucking ridiculous! Winning percentages have to be insane for these schools to get to this point and believe me, they fucking are! Michigan has an all-time winning percentage of .730! That is the best of any school with OSU and ND coming in as close seconds. Both of those schools have a .727 winning percentage. These schools are literally winning 73% of their fucking games for over 100 years!
The kind of success these schools have had seems unsustainable, but these teams have maintained their success for a century! Congrats to these schools on beating the shit out of everyone for the last 100 years! Here’s to 100 more!
