Can the Razorbacks get first SEC Win in Chad Morris Era?

Coach Morris was hired in 2017 and since then has put out a lackluster effort with a (4-13) record. He is (0-10) in the SEC but that may all change this weekend vs. (2-3) Kentucky. Arkansas (2-3) is coming off a close loss to #24 Texas A&M 31-24. They are coming off of a needed bye week to get healthy. According to Morris everybody that was banged up should be good to go this weekend. That is great news for a team that has the best freshmen WR duo in the nation with Treylon Burks (13 catches 230 yards) and Trey Knox (21 catches 299 yard/2TDS). The problem has been injuries to both of them and its been tough to get them both on the field at the same time. Starting quarterback Nick Starkel AKA Starkansas is back and ready to go after suffering an arm injury in the first half of the A&M game. Starkel has thrown for 1019 yards 7TDS and 7 INTS. Starkel has all the arm talent/confidence in the world so its boom or bust with every throw it seems. If he booms this week then the HOGS could pull off the upset. On the other side of the field will be the Kentucky Wildcats and they will NOT want to be the team to give Arkansas their first SEC win since October 28 2017. They are coming off of a bye week also so both teams have had ample time to prepare for each other. The week before they lost to South Carolina 24-7. This teams starting QB Sawyer Smith has thrown for 665 yard 4TDS and 5 INTS he is questionable to play this weekend with a shoulder injury. The Wildcats backup QB is out so they may have to rely on starting WR Lynn Bowden Jr to pick up the slack. Bowden Jr. was a high school QB and has 30 receptions for 348 yards and a td, 13 rushes for 99 yards and even passing 3/4 for 39 yards. This guy is 6 ft 1 and ELECTRIC. Kentucky Coach Mark Stoops may have to play him more at QB this week if Smith is not fully ready to rumble. Head Hog mentioned they will have eyes on Bowden Jr. every play..but that hasn’t helped the razorbacks defense thus far in the year. This is a Kentucky team that played within a touchdown to a VERY VERY good Florida Gators team earlier in the season. A key to victory for the Hogs will be stopping this dynamic play maker. I think this is a perfect opportunity for the Hogs to get focused and get back to .500 on the season. Many mainstream analyst have marked this down as a “L” for the Razorback..but i see a fully healthy and focused Razorback team as a favorite against a team possibly without a QB. Now i also thought the Hogs would have beat San Jose St a few weeks ago…and we know how that went.
